My name is Wyneisha. I am a native New Yorker, from the South Bronx exactly. I am an NYU alumna and a member of Thessalonia Worship Center. I am currently in the process of applying to law school which includes studying for the LSAT, preparing my personal statement, pulling together my recommendations and solidfying my schools list. My hope is to use this blog to document my process there as well as my relationship with God along the process. I’ve put off law school for so long and I’ve realized that for many people, law school is such a difficult decision. Do I need to go to law school? Will I get in? Will I get a job afterward? Maybe there are some other routes I can go to accomplish my goal of higher education. < These are some thoughts that have ran through my mind but I’m learning to put all things in God’s hands (Romans 8:28) and to trust God in the process.
I hope to use this blog to talk about my daily revelations of God through His Word, my LSAT progress, my law school process, my ups and downs for the future and whatever else God puts on my heart to share. My prayer and hope is that God will be glorified and that someone, somewhere will read this and feel comforted that God has them! It’s sometimes difficult to remember that God has us and that we were created for His Glory alone. I know for me, I always want to do what I want to do. Without hesitation or checking in for permission. But my hope is that my love for God will overtake my own selfish ambitions. My praise and thanksgiving, I hope to sing a new song similar to this.
I believe that law school is a testimony to who God is and my relationship with Him. As Paul writes, “Each time he said, “My grace is all you need. My power works best in weakness.” So now I am glad to boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ can work through me,” (2 Corinthians 12:9). Also, as I searched for answers about this journey, I kept searching for others’ testimonies but could only come across a few. So just in case there are young adults or teens searching for God and answers, please follow me as we search for His truth for our lives! I’m excited to see where this blog goes. And even if no one reads it, I believe that God has everything for His own purposes (Exodus 9:16) and that someone, somewhere, will be blessed by this journey and this documentation of it. So, let’s begin!
