Where is your confidence?
Is it in your possessions, your titles, your degrees, your bank account, your followers, your likes/comments on your social media posts?
I’ve felt like I had to acquire accomplishments before I could acquire approval. I had to look a certain way, behave a certain way, think a certain way for HUMANS to tell me if I was okay or not. It wasn’t until I realized that in peoples’ eyes, I will always be flawed that I began to take a moment to really evaluate where my confidence is founded.
I realized that my confidence in my authentic self was so faulty because I was so used to performing. And now, I’m encouraging you that it’s time to stop.
You’re tiring yourself out trying to get noticed when God has already seen you and noticed you (Jeremiah 1:5).
You’re already loved.
You’re already called.
You’re already seen.
And the beauty of God seeing you and being your audience is that you’re always protected. You can make mistakes, you can be imperfect because God is like “I see you and I know the real you.” He’ll keep you from stumbling (Jude 24) and present you FAULTLESS. He’ll keep your feet from being caught by the deception or self-doubt that seems to follow you to ensnare you.
Let God build your confidence! The world needs what He’s placed inside of you. Let’s goooooo!
